A Message from Our Founder-Mr.Ben
At CEDL, we believe that a good fabric must do more than look right.
It must achieve the required hand feel, drape, colour, performance, cost and delivery schedule. More importantly, the quality approved during development must be repeatable in bulk production.
We started from textile manufacturing and have grown step by step by staying close to products, production and customers. Over the years, one principle has not changed: understand the real requirement, identify potential risks early and take responsibility for the final result.
Our role is not simply to sell fabric.
We work with customers to turn seasonal ideas, reference swatches, garment concepts and original artworks into commercially workable fabric solutions. This requires product knowledge, practical communication and careful coordination throughout development and production.
We value long-term partnerships built on honest communication, consistent quality and reliable execution.
CEDL I Development Journey
Woven Fabric Development & Supply Partner
CEDL is a Shanghai-based woven fabric development and supply partner with
manufacturing roots since 2000, supporting custom development, sampling and
bulk production.
2000 — Manufacturing Mill
A production base was established in Changzhou, creating the foundation for textile manufacturing, production control and quality management. This manufacturing experience gave us a practical understanding of how fabric decisions affect production stability, quality and delivery.
2009 — Shanghai Office
Establish a Shanghai company, integrate trade, research and development, and supply chain resources, further enhance the comprehensive operational capabilities of the enterprise, and accelerate the layout of domestic and international markets.
2016 — Dedicated Development Capability
A small-batch development facility was established in Sanjiang, focusing on new fabric development, process trials, rapid sampling and small-volume production. This allowed us to support customers through the early development stages and improve the transition from approved sample to commercial production.
2022 — From Manufacturing Experience to Flexible Fabric Development
CEDL further strengthened the connection between product development, production, trade and supply-chain management. Our objective is to provide more responsive, efficient and commercially practical fabric solutions while continuing to improve material selection, production processes and resource use.
